The business

Morain Labs

Morain Labs is my independent development business. I build apps and tools, mostly for baseball, and I build them in public. The IRS issued its EIN in July 2026.

Two projects are in the works. Each one is listed at its real stage.

Amalthea

In testing on Google Play

A grocery and meal planning app, built around what is already in your pantry.

ARGUS

In development

A baseball intelligence system for player development. It is being built to pull a player's training and game data into one weekly plan.

Founder: Zac Morain. The longer story is on the About page.

Build log

The projects get built here in the open. Decisions, milestones, and misses, each one dated and each one staying put at its own URL. Amalthea, a meal planning assistant, is first. The rest of the Labs projects follow it here.
